Burial & Cremation Options
Traditional Ground Burial
Traditional ground burial remains a meaningful choice for many families. Washington Cemetery offers burial locations throughout our grounds with options for upright monuments, flat grass markers, and bronze memorials.
Families can work with our team to find a burial location and memorialization option that reflects their wishes and provides a lasting place for family and friends to visit and remember their loved one.
Cremation Services
Families choosing cremation have several options at Washington Cemetery. Cremated remains may be placed in a traditional ground burial or entombed in a mausoleum niche.
Our variety of cremation options allows families to choose a setting that best reflects their preferences while providing a permanent and meaningful place of remembrance.
Veterans
Washington Cemetery is proud to be the final resting place of Civil War Medal of Honor recipient Hugh P. Boon, as well as honorably discharged veterans who served during eras throughout our nation's history.
Veterans buried at Washington Cemetery have the opportunity to rest among family, friends, and fellow veterans in a peaceful and dignified setting.
Mausoleum Entombment
For families seeking above-ground entombment, Washington Cemetery offers several mausoleum options, each with its own distinctive setting and features.
Four Seasons Mausoleum
Our newest mausoleum, the Four Seasons Mausoleum, was designed around the four seasons of nature and life. Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter represent the different stages of life and provide the inspiration for this peaceful memorial setting.
The Four Seasons Mausoleum features both indoor and outdoor crypts for full-body entombment, as well as options for cremated remains.
Single and double crypt availability is available. Contact our office to learn more.
Garden Mausoleum
The Garden Mausoleum combines a beautifully decorated interior with peaceful landscaped surroundings. Plants and flowers surround the exterior, creating a quiet and reflective environment for families and visitors.
Serenity Chapel Mausoleum
The Serenity Chapel Mausoleum features a spacious chapel area with soft lighting and elegant furnishings, creating an atmosphere of quiet dignity and reflection.
The mausoleum also includes a columbarium for the entombment of cremated remains. Landscaped gardens with plants and flowers surround the mausoleum, providing a peaceful setting for remembrance and visitation.
Memorialization
A memorial provides a lasting way to honor and remember someone special. Washington Cemetery offers a variety of monument and marker options to help families create a meaningful tribute.
Upright Monuments
Upright monuments, commonly known as headstones, are available in a variety of styles and designs. Options may include tables and bases, slants, statuary, artistic designs, and more elaborate custom monuments.
These permanent memorials can be personalized to reflect the life, personality, and memories of the person being honored.
Flat Grass Markers
Flat grass markers, also called flush or lawn-level markers, are installed at ground level and provide a simple, traditional form of memorialization.
They are available in a variety of granite colors and designs and can be installed directly into the ground or on a concrete foundation.
Bronze Monuments & Markers
Bronze memorials offer another timeless way to commemorate a loved one. Bronze plaques are typically mounted on a granite base and designed to lay flat at ground level.
Families can choose from traditional rectangular designs as well as customized shapes and designs to create a more personal memorial.
